Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in an applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Six years of related experience are required.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications is required.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director in all aspects of departmental operations and maintain responsibility for major functional units within the department.
  • Develop, implement, and assess recruitment strategies to meet institutional enrollment goals for first-time students, transfers, and special populations.
  • Analyze enrollment data and trends to inform recruitment initiatives and align efforts with the university's strategic plan.
  • Collaborate with Admissions, Marketing, Financial Aid, and Academic Affairs to ensure cohesive recruitment messaging and practices.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate recruitment staff to ensure consistent performance and professional growth.
  • Provide leadership in territory management, call campaigns, and outreach activities.
  • Ensure accountability in daily operations and support staff in achieving individual and team goals.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with high schools, community colleges, and community organizations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for external stakeholders to expand recruitment pipelines.
  • Represent the university at state, regional, and national recruitment events and professional organizations.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of major recruitment events, including preview days, counselor luncheons, and transfer fairs.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure successful event outcomes.
  • Provide logistical and supervisory support for high-impact recruitment initiatives.
  • Identify and pursue emerging recruitment opportunities aligned with institutional goals, including military-connected students, dual-credit or early-college high-school partnerships, and workforce pathways.
  • Assist with division-wide projects and represent the office on cross-campus committees as needed.
