  • Must be 19 years of age or older in the State of Nebraska.
  • Must understand fuel inventory reports.
  • Must be able to work the point-of-sale system efficiently.
  • Must be able to read, write, and perform math skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to change when required.
  • Must demonstrate communication skills.
  • Must be well groomed and properly attired.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and any shift needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a phone.
  • Must be able to communicate in English, if applicable.
  • Must be able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
  • Must be able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
  • Must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods; the role also requires frequent walking, hand and finger use, reaching, talking, and hearing, with occasional sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Physical attendance at the primary work location is required.
Responsibilities
  • Arrive at work in a clean and proper uniform and maintain a clean and neat appearance, including a collared shirt, jeans or slacks, and a name tag.
  • Greet all customers at the register and sales floor in a welcoming and friendly manner.
  • Engage in suggestive selling by recommending products and promotions that meet customer needs and enhance their shopping experience.
  • Understand all functions of the point-of-sale system and count back changes properly.
  • Open and close shifts, including completing all paperwork.
  • Properly transact credit cards using credit card equipment.
  • Process all sales quickly and accurately.
  • Ensure all items are properly stocked and priced correctly.
  • Read and follow directions.
  • Check in vendor deliveries and accurately record them on the vendor check-in log.
  • Assist with the ordering process.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and perform basic maintenance.
  • Maintain the store appearance, keeping it neat and clean inside and outside.
  • Recognize problems and report them to management.
  • Handle all aspects of food operations and product handling and storage in compliance with food-handling guidelines and state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and healthy food-service environment by following proper cooking procedures and temperature-holding requirements.
  • Store, rotate, and code-date food products with expiration dates and hold cooked or stored products at proper temperatures.
  • Test food temperatures to ensure food safety and quality control.
  • Provide friendly and competent customer service.
  • Report for work on time when scheduled and maintain regular and consistent attendance.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
