Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proven experience in wind turbine maintenance or a similar field is required.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems commonly found in wind turbines is required.
  • Familiarity with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems and data analysis tools is required.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals is required.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools is required.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, work at heights, and work in various weather conditions is required.
  • Ability to meet safety, physical, travel, equipment-operation, driver's-license, scheduling, and work-environment requirements is required.
  • Ability to travel domestically 90% of the time is required.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment and signal and rig loads up to 100 tons is required.
  • Ability to work and climb to heights of at least 300 feet is required.
  • Ability to meet OSHA weight limits of 250 to 300 pounds maximum is required.
  • Ability to handle repetitive weights of 50 pounds is required.
  • Ability to be available for rotating shift schedules 24 hours a day, seven days a week is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on wind turbines, including inspections, lubrication, and component replacement.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic system issues.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance according to scheduled maintenance plans.
  • Repair and replace faulty components to ensure safe and efficient turbine operation.
  • Monitor and document turbine performance, including data collection and analysis.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to optimize turbine performance and minimize downtime.
  • Complete maintenance reports and documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and participate in training programs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Technical or vocational training in wind turbine maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in wind turbine maintenance or a similar field is highly desirable.
