Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Marketing, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or any related technical / mechanical industrial technology programs.
  • Fluid Power certification is a plus.
  • 10+ years sales experience in the Construction and/or Crane Aftermarket repair industry.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Construction and/or Crane market manager, market specialist, or national account manager.
  • Demonstrated experience with sales and service of hydraulic components.
  • Well-organized and able to coordinate with functional support groups to achieve desired results.
  • Experience in highly matrix environment is preferred.
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills; including experience in preparing marketing collateral and presenting at the upper management level.
  • Ability to influence others through collaborative consensus building skills.
  • Developing relationships at the executive level.
  • Ability to develop the appropriate approach and strategy to win new business.
  • Team facilitation skills and relationship building skills to foster engagement, an environment of teamwork, and trust.
  • Enthusiasm and motivation is essential: a confident change agent with ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Candidate must be willing to travel as needed within the assigned region.
Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive growth plan including key targeted customers, understanding of the primary competition, repair and applications opportunities and pricing strategies to acquire new sales.
  • Develop and recommend to management short, intermediate and long term growth plans to ensure continued increase in market share.
  • Develop and coordinate marketing and sales strategy to leverage the SunSource and newly joined partner’s value-add repair solutions within these key customers and applications.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the products and services used within these applications and the associated market size.
  • Become the subject matter expert on the Construction / Crane Aftermarket Market by developing a quantitative understanding of the local market business strategies and programs.
  • Provide leadership in the local districts and regions regarding the company’s marketing of Crane Aftermarket Market opportunities.
  • Help create, implement and lead innovative, effective Crane Aftermarket Market programs to support all the industrial product lines and related services.
  • Support the local sales organization with effective marketing materials and promotional activities such as newsletters and advertisement efforts, supplier conferences, industry tradeshows and association meetings.
  • Presentations and joint sales calls at strategic customers sites to support specific sales and general account development initiatives.
  • Act as central coordination point within the local district and regions on any potential service & repair customer.
  • Collaborate with the local SunSource district sales teams to make joint sales calls.
  • Engage in regular weekly cadence call updates and any monthly or quarterly business reviews.
