  • 2+ years of experience leading a small team of developers building mobile apps for iOS and Android using React Native
  • 4+ years of experience using React Native
  • Proven track record of building highly-rated mobile apps on Apple and Google app stores
  • Well versed with development and build tools used with React Native
  • Experience working with FinTech/Financial Services
  • Experience creating mobile apps from scratch
  • Native mobile development experience for iOS and Android
  • Lead a small team of developers to build highly-rated React Native iOS / Android app for Earnest products
  • Opportunity to set the technical vision and lead the implementation of Earnest mobile apps from scratch
  • Architect, build and maintain excellent React Native applications with clean code
  • Implement mobile app UIs that provide an excellent user experience based on designs
  • Integrate Earnest with third-party API's
  • Write unit and integration tests
  • Release applications to the Apple and Google Play stores
  • Work with modern tools including Jira, Slack, GitHub etc
  • Participate in our devops culture and provide rotating on-call support for production application software system(s) that comprise Earnest's customer facing and internal lending systems. During on-call support the Lead Software Engineer is responsible for responding to system alerts, triaging the problem via Splunk log and dashboard analysis, New Relic system and application monitors and AWS Cloudwatch monitors to determine the severity and priority of the problem. Ultimately the Software Engineer is responsible for either fixing the problem or escalating to other application support teams as appropriate. For mobile apps, the Lead Software Engineer will also be responsible for making sure the apps in the Apple and Google app stores are of high quality and receiving high ratings from users
