PhD in Computer Science Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or related disciplines with at least 15+ years of experience in Power and thermal modeling, , MS in Computer Science with 18+ years or BS in Computer Science with 20+ years is preferred
SOC or IP architecture experience is required

Responsibilities

SOC and IP Architecture for compute, accelerator and network technologies
Perform feasibility analysis, put together architectural specifications, put together floorplans, SOC integration and analyze high-level performance and power characteristics
Ability to thrive in a pathfinding environment with less-defined design guidelines
Lead technical communication and collaboration with customers and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
Manage and drive cross-site, cross-function team collaborations
Be able to provide technical guidance to engineers
Be able to travel domestic or internationally when required

What You’ll Do

SAIT – Samsung’s Advanced Institute of Technology is Samsung Group’s R&D hub, established as the incubator for cutting-edge technologies under the founding philosophy of Boundless search for breakthroughs, and guided by the vision of Changing the World through Creative Research. The Systems Architecture Lab is a new lab focusing on overcoming the memory and communication walls for AI and HPC applications and looking at these challenges from a system perspective. It will be headquartered in the heart of Silicon Valley and is a wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. - the #1 employer in the world (Forbes, 2020 & 2021) and top patent-holder in the U.S. Want to advance the world’s technology with us?

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated technical leader with experience leading SOC architecture as well as IP architecture for leading edge compute and network solutions. As a Senior SOC architect you will lead the SOC architecture for next-gen products. The output of this effort will inform the direction of the overall system hardware architecture. In addition, as the effort grows, it is expected the person would provide technical leadership for others working on the effort.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose office/headquarters 3 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time OR Fully Remote, with the opportunity to work from anywhere in the United States with the ability to travel domestic or internationally when required. #LIRemote

What You Bring

Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location, as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training. Base Pay Range

$158,400—$312,000 USD
