Big Tech companies have reportedly been increasing their investments in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, with a particular focus on expanding their presence in international markets. Microsoft and Amazon have already allocated over $40 billion combined for AI-related and data center projects worldwide this year, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported Thursday (May 23). Microsoft has outlined plans to invest over $16 billion in various countries, including France, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Spain and Indonesia, the report said.
