This role combines administrative, clinical, and supervisory duties, contributing to the overall success of the facility’s nursing services.
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team, providing exceptional care and leadership within our facility. In this role, you will direct and supervise nursing assistants and staff, ensuring compliance with facility policies, regulations, and best practices. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, updating department policies, and participating in quality assurance programs, inspections, and surveys. Additionally, you will oversee the development and implementation of resident discharge plans, ensuring coordinated services across departments.
As an LPN, your clinical duties will include administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and resident care plans while ensuring accurate charting of progress notes, incident reports, and medication administration. You will monitor residents’ conditions, update care plans as necessary, and ensure compliance with infection control procedures and safety protocols. Supervisory responsibilities include managing staffing needs, assisting with performance evaluations, and fostering a supportive work environment by mentoring and guiding nursing personnel. Ensuring compliance with training, certification requirements, and safety protocols is a key component of this role.
Providing compassionate, high-quality care is at the heart of this position. You will ensure that residents’ physical, emotional, and mental well-being is prioritized, assist with admission and discharge procedures, and oversee the implementation of restorative and rehabilitative programs. Maintaining a clean, safe environment is essential, requiring adherence to sanitation guidelines, proper use of protective equipment, and compliance with safety procedures. Additionally, you will play a role in staff development by participating in in-service training, encouraging continuous learning, and keeping nursing personnel informed of regulatory changes.
Qualified candidates must hold a current, unencumbered LPN license in Missouri and have a nursing degree from an accredited program. Experience in long-term care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred. The role requires physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and standing for extended periods, as well as the ability to navigate emotionally challenging situations with residents, staff, and families. Work is performed in a clinical setting with potential exposure to infectious conditions, chemicals, and other healthcare-related hazards.
