Job Description
This individual will be an integral part of Wholesale Quality Assurance (QA) testing team which contributes to the Company’s efforts in developing, implementing and maintaining a QA program around regulatory reporting. The QA program will assist management in assessing and enhancing the control environment around regulatory reporting production. The QA Testing Lead will be responsible for the execution of day-to-day testing of products that relate to the lending businesses within Wholesale. This will include:
•Preparing complex test plans and scoping documentation
•Identifying areas of risk and designing tests to evaluate accuracy of reporting in those areas
•Executing testing work under the supervision of QA Manager
•Preparing working papers that robustly document all QA testing procedures performed
•Learning regulatory reports or product focus areas and providing leadership to broader team around areas of focus
•Identifying and documenting issues, working with Controller’s, Operations and Technology teams to conduct root cause analysis
•Drafting reports and preparing summaries of results and findings to be reported to various stakeholders, including Corporate Regulatory Reporting and Corporate QA
•Building strong relationships with Wholesale Controller’s, Operations, Corporate QA and SOX teams
•Assisting Corporate QA testing team in performing corporate level testing, leveraging relationships and knowledge of systems built through interaction with Wholesale Controller’s and Operations
•Providing functional advice or training to lower level team members
Qualifications
4+ years accounting experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
•General understanding of bank regulatory reporting requirements
•Proven experience with relationship building and collaboration with
stakeholders spanning multiple levels from staff level to senior
management
•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
•Strong attention to detail
•Strong proficiency in Excel and Word
•Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative,
geographically dispersed team
•Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate flexibility and
implement change
•Ability to work within ambiguity while delivering results
Qualifications:
•CPA/CIA certification
•Advisory or audit experience with Big 4 accounting firms (2+ years)
•Experience with loan accounting, reporting or operations
•Experience using data sampling tools (e.g. ACL)
