Requirements
  • Progressive experience in Payments, Banking, or Financial Services strategy, with a strong record of leading complex projects.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience.
  • Advanced understanding of payment operations, digital platforms, payment networks, and related vendors, including Velera, Mastercard, Automated Clearing House, Real-Time Payments, and FedNow.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks applicable to financial institutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across departments.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and develop reporting to support decision-making.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and ensure data accuracy and security.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with leadership, business units, and stakeholders to define strategic objectives, system scope, and enterprise Payments roadmap priorities.
  • Lead requirements elicitation efforts by gathering business and technical requirements and translating them into functional specifications and strategic solutions aligned to enterprise goals.
  • Act as a liaison between business users, technical teams, and vendors to ensure alignment of business processes, systems, and product requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, vendors, and third parties to ensure business rules, policies, procedures, and strategic objectives are effectively implemented.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including milestones, timelines, and resource coordination, to support successful delivery of complex Payments initiatives.
  • Oversee implementation and integration of system enhancements, vendor solutions, and new features across payment channels.
  • Coordinate production deployments and ensure readiness across impacted areas, including communication planning, training support, and post-implementation activities.
  • Lead the design, execution, and oversight of user acceptance testing, including test cases, defect identification, and resolution tracking.
  • Establish and monitor quality assurance frameworks and performance metrics to ensure deliverables meet business objectives and regulatory expectations.
  • Conduct post-implementation validation and quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and effectiveness of deployed solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in regulatory laws, rules, and requirements, advising leadership on operational impacts and necessary actions.
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to review and support development of policies, procedures, contracts, disclosures, and system changes to ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
  • Participate in new product and service development, providing strategic input on compliance considerations and regulatory risk.
  • Identify compliance risks and support development and implementation of mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
  • Manage and influence vendor relationships to ensure service delivery, performance expectations, and strategic objectives are achieved.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Payments, Marketing, Information Technology, Risk, and Operations to drive alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to portfolio growth strategies by supporting segmentation, targeted campaigns, and performance optimization efforts.
  • Analyze campaign performance, portfolio trends, and channel metrics to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Support testing strategies such as pilot programs and A/B testing to enhance campaign effectiveness, product adoption, and member engagement.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, inform strategic decision-making, and improve performance outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, workflows, and documentation to support operational transparency, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.
  • Work with peers and leadership from multiple functions to influence decision-making and drive impact across the organization.
  • Provide guidance, training support, and knowledge sharing to team members and stakeholders to build organizational capability.

House Hearing On Cfpb Blasts Agency’S Structure And Claims Regulatory Overreach

Critics of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) said Wednesday (March 26) at a Capitol Hill hearing that the agency needs a restructuring, and has engaged in what they call “regulatory overreach” that merits a revisiting of its funding structure as well. The hearing, before the House Subcommittee on Financial Institutions, was titled “A New Era for the CFPB: Balancing Power and Reprioritizing Consumer Protections.”. In his opening remarks, Rep. Andy Barr, R-Ky., chair of the subcommittee, stated that “nowhere has overregulation and overreach” been as sharply in evidence at the CFPB.  He heralded the present era, under the new administration, where “those in charge prioritize administrative law over regulation by enforcement, avoiding extortionary civil investigative demands (or CIDs).”  Barr underscored legislation he’s recently introduced to restructure the CFPB, including the TABS Act, which would shift the funding structure to the congressional appropriations process
