Requirements
  • Student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Welding Engineering Technology, Industrial, Mechanical or other related Engineering field for entire duration of internship.
  • GPA of 3.0 or greater.
  • Working knowledge or exposure to ERP System such as JD Edwards.
  • Experience in welding, machining, or fabrication.
  • Exposure to cell or work center layout.
  • Experience with 2D & 3D CAD software.
  • Exposure to Lean and 5S concepts.
Responsibilities
  • Audit and update work instructions, routings, and bills of materials.
  • Improve material handling methods.
  • Perform time studies.
  • Develop methods in fabrication and machining processes.
  • Perform workstation/cell analyses to improve productivity and quality.
  • Provide technical support to the production personnel.
  • Provide input for manufacturing fixtures and tooling.
  • Assist with plant layout and workstation design.
  • Learn and use ERP manufacturing software.
  • Create documentation for new product launches.
  • All other duties or projects as assigned.
