About Project and Development Services (PDS):
JLL PDS, or Project and Development Services, is a specialized division within JLL’s Work Dynamics business line that focuses on delivering comprehensive project management and development services to clients across various industries. PDS provides end-to-end solutions for new construction, renovation, relocation, and fit-out projects, helping clients optimize their real estate assets and achieve their business goals. With a team of experienced professionals, PDS offers expertise in project planning, design and construction management, cost control, and risk mitigation, ensuring successful project delivery within budget and timeline parameters. JLL PDS leverages its global network and best practices to seamlessly manage projects of all sizes and complexities, from small-scale office refurbishments to large-scale industrial developments and infrastructure projects.
We are currently seeking an Intern in Project and Development Services for the Hotels and Hospitality Group (HHG). HHG is focused on developing strategic solutions to deliver built space for hotel owners, developers and brands.
The PDS HHG intern will work directly with the team(s) who are responsible for delivering these challenging construction projects. This internship will involve collaborating with project management teams to create presentations, budgets, and other deliverables. Responsibilities include vendor management, RFP development, finance reconciliation, and assisting in the development of project execution, while also gaining exposure to space planning, data analysis, and overall business acumen. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a dynamic work environment and who is interested in the construction industry.
This internship is great for someone pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with 2-3 years completed, in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering and who is able to live and work in Chicago, IL (relocation and housing not provided).
As an Intern in PDSat JLL, you will:
Work closely with the project management team to create presentations, budgets/financial documents, and other project deliverables.
Support vendor management, RFP development, scope development, and finance reconciliation.
Perform project coordinator tasks such as data entry, project contract administration, and compiling monthly invoice batches.
Gain real-world experience in managing complicated hotel renovations and developments, and strengthen overall business acumen by working with a variety of clients.
Collaborate with the Project Management and Operations teams to update and clean up spreadsheet data, as well as analyze data for accuracy.
Take meeting notes, track project schedules, and complete site visit summaries.

Education, Skills, and Experience
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with 2-3 years completed, in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Independent thinking and work abilities
Ability to collaborate with multiple individuals and meet deadlines
Interest in the construction industry
Proactive and self-motivated mindset
Thrives in fast-paced team environment
Knowledge of PC, Windows, Internet applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Highly energetic and able to work independently
Excellent customer service, relationship-building, and presentation skills
Detail-oriented, organized, and creative
Experience related to project or construction management, architecture, engineering or commercial interior design preferred

Estimated total compensation for this position:
8,400.00 – 9,600.00 USD per year
The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
