Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer
Key Role:
Assess electromagnetic integration challenges and solutions space for radar and other sensor systems on current Navy platforms and platforms in development. Provide total life-cycle support for systems beginning with up-front Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) engineering support during development. Conduct characterization analyses and develop mitigation options for predictions of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) with new and installed systems in both SCN and In-service designs with a focus on radar systems. Support other engineers to perform tasks, when necessary. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop and contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Basic Qualifications:
4+ years of experience with EMI, EMC, Computational Electromagnetics, RF Engineering, Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) instructions, standards, policies, and procedures, Defense Acquisition Engineering, E3, EMI, and EMC testing, EMI problem investigation, or Spectrum EMI and EMC analysis and assessments
Experience with working in a team environment
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in EE or Science
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with U.S. Navy shipboard topside equipment
Experience with MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464
Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) test equipment
Knowledge of analysis tools, including MATLAB
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
