Job Summary:
The Head, Controller will oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy in accounting and financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a strategic leader with strong technical expertise in accounting and finance, capable of driving efficiency, optimizing financial processes, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
- Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
- Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
- Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development.
- Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies. Work closely with all other areas in Accounting organization as well as with Tax and SOX team to ensure optimum performance of entire organization.
- Serve as lead in all due diligence regarding business acquisition relative to the segment.
- Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
- Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
- As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet’s established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility. Recent Big 4 Accounting experience a plus.
- Deep Industry and Controllership experience.
- CPA, MBA or other applicable certification preferred.
- Ability to lead a project team and cultivate a strong working relationship with internal partners.
- Ability to develop innovative and creative approaches to resolve complex problems.
- Current knowledge of industry and regulatory issues and best practices for assigned areas; ability to impart this knowledge to the team and management.
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to anticipate issues and to design appropriate solutions.
- Capacity to leverage relationships and insights to successfully influence others. Builds authentic and trusted relationships to create alignment and support.
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally as necessary, approximately 30% of time.

Salary:
The annual base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $300,000.
