Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or another related field is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and document complex software applications using object-oriented data structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow coding and testing standards.
  • Ability to work with new technologies, plan and coordinate multiple tasks, manage time, solve problems, exercise sound engineering judgment, communicate effectively, work independently with sensitive and confidential information, work under supervision, and maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Eligibility for access to classified information at the level appropriate to project requirements is required.
  • A criminal history background check is required for finalists.
  • Authorization to work in the United States must be verified through the federal Employment Eligibility Verification process.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software applications.
  • Maintain and test new and legacy code.
  • Create supporting documentation for software and systems.
  • Participate in data collection exercises, data management, and analysis.
  • Travel to domestic offsite test events potentially two to four times per year.
  • Perform other related functions as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Desire to research and develop products using new and innovative software technologies.
  • Experience with unit testing, version control, and documenting software development.
  • Knowledge of some of the following: C#, Python, JavaScript, C, C++, Java, web application development, Git, cloud computing, AWS, or Azure.
  • Graphic design or user experience design experience.
  • Prior professional or research-oriented software development experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 with at least a 3.2 in relevant coursework.
