Amcor partners with Ocean Potion on new sunscreen tube packaging with 360° graphics

Amcor and Ocean Potion have partnered on packaging for Ocean Potion's new 3.4oz mineral kids SPF 30 sunscreen lotion. The companies, who have collaborated on laminate tubes for nearly ten years, designed packaging featuring a reflective blue gradient with a ripple-like effect on the lower half and a yellow cap matching the brand logo. The complex design required all 12 stations on the printing press, using multiple layers of flexographic printing. Amcor applied a clear overlaminate to protect the inks and maintain the artwork over time. The tube features uninterrupted 360° graphics despite seam-related challenges from metallic foil and inks. Ocean Potion general manager Rasheda Jackson praised Amcor's creativity and technical skills, saying the artwork will "make a splash on shelves".

MOSH/MOAH migration market to grow from $618M to $1.6B by 2035 as EU regulations drive barrier tech adoption

The global market for preventing mineral oil hydrocarbon migration in recycled paper packaging is projected to grow from $618.2 million in 2026 to $1.6 billion by 2035, representing an 11.7% compound annual growth rate. The market was valued at $513 million in 2025. Growth is driven by stricter European Union food safety regulations and increased adoption of contamination prevention technologies. Companies including Mondi Group, Stora Enso, Amcor, and Sealed Air are advancing functional barrier solutions. The expansion reflects sustained investment in barrier materials and testing technologies designed to reduce migration of mineral oil saturated hydrocarbons and mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons from recycled packaging into food products. Circular economy initiatives and consumer awareness of chemical transfer are also contributing factors. Dry food packaging held a 40.5% market share in 2025 and is expected to grow at 12% annually through 2035.

US stock futures rise as July CPI meets expectations at 3.4% annual increase

The US Department of Labor reported the consumer price index rose 0.1% in July, matching the Zacks Consensus Estimate, whilst the annual headline CPI increased 3.4%, down from 3.5% in June. Core CPI, excluding food and energy, rose 0.2% monthly and 2.5% annually, both in line with estimates. The benign inflation data may influence the Federal Reserve to maintain current interest rates at its September meeting. Officials will review both July and August figures before deciding. In corporate earnings, Amcor reported adjusted quarterly earnings of $1.23 per share, beating estimates, with revenues of $6.4 billion. Trimble posted $0.86 per share, exceeding the $0.80 estimate. Performance Food Group missed expectations with $1.59 per share earnings.

Amcor posts 23% Q4 EPS growth to $1.23, captures $285M in Berry synergies

Amcor reported fiscal Q4 adjusted earnings per share of $1.23, up 23% year over year, whilst full-year adjusted EPS rose 13% to $4.02. The packaging company attributed the growth to synergies from its Berry Global acquisition, cost management and modest volume growth, despite elevated input costs. The company captured $285 million in fiscal 2026 synergies from the Berry deal, approximately 10% above its initial first-year target. Amcor remains committed to achieving $650 million in total synergies over three years. It also secured nearly $140 million in Berry-related new business awards. Free cash flow reached $1.3 billion, below guidance due to working-capital effects from the Middle East conflict. However, Amcor expects to recover more than $500 million over the next year. The company projects adjusted EPS of $1.80–$1.90 for the six-month transition period.
