Category
Aerospace Engineering (2)
,
Required Skills
Python
MATLAB
C/C++
Requirements
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, or other technical field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in systems, systems integration, system test, and/or hardware integration engineering.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++.
  • Experience developing, testing, or integrating radar hardware, including RF front-end design, antenna systems, or signal processing on embedded platforms.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the requirements and specifications of radar systems for defense and autonomy applications. Utilize your expertise to transform these needs into efficient and practical radar solutions. Independently derive system-level integration and test (I&T) requirements based on mission requirements and define plans, approaches, and detailed test procedures to solve complex I&T problems.
  • Focus on operational testing (i.e., subsystems and system of system) after the radar systems have undergone engineering tests. Perform tests in various configurations, including stationary and on-the-move setups on land vehicles or ships. Implementation of electronic component interfaces and interoperability. Automation testing. Create test procedures and reports.
  • Flexibility best practices (e.g., thoughtful part and drawing numbering schemas – from component to system level – that allow for reconfigurability while not disturbing certifications). Supply chain security and sustainability (e.g., risk management strategy for parts obsolescence).
  • Exhibit excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Efficiently manage the scope of projects and ensure clear and comprehensive requirements are met by both the team and all involved employees.
  • Implement Modular Open Standards Architecture (MOSA). Integration and testing under various testing regimes. Interface control (and ICD generation).
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with radar verification and validation, including test design and results documentation.
  • Proficiency with phased array and MIMO technologies.
  • Experience with AI/ML design and implementation in sensor perception layer.
  • Product development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Experience with customer and stakeholder engagement, including: training for the end users and operations and sustainment considerations.
  • Experience with regulatory environments, including application of quality standards such as ISO9001, AS9100, PMA, NASA Parts Selection List (NPSL), various MILSTD’s, etc., EMI/EMC certification within various markets and geographies, and Export Compliance.
  • Proficiency in design for manufacturability.

SoloPulse develops deep-tech radar sensing by using proprietary wave theory algorithms to greatly improve resolution and speed. Its core product is a sensor that can detect objects across all ranges simultaneously using a single electromagnetic pulse, and it can be added to existing radar systems through a firmware update rather than full hardware changes. This makes it easier and cheaper for customers, offering about ten times higher resolution and thousandfold faster processing, with a dual-use focus on commercial markets like ADAS and defense. The company aims to broaden radar perception across automotive, robotics, surveillance, and smart devices by making high-resolution sensing practical and affordable.
