28 new Caterpillar machines for Walters.

28 new Caterpillar machines for Walters. The Walters Group has taken delivery of 28 new Cat machines from Finning UK & Ireland as it continues to invest in its fleet ahead of a new wave of major UK infrastructure projects. The latest investment supports the civil engineering, earthmoving and quarrying specialist's operations across England and Wales, taking the total number of Cat machines supplied by Finning over the past five years to 400. The order includes a mix of excavators, dozers and soil compactors, specified to deliver high levels of productivity and precision on large-scale infrastructure schemes. Among the machines is a special Centennial Edition Cat D6 XE dozer, finished in Centennial Grey to celebrate Caterpillar's 100th anniversary. Dai Walters, Group Chairman of The Walters Group, said: "I am extremely proud to see the Cat Centennial Edition D6 join our fleet. Over the last 45 years we have owned and operated a huge number of Cat machines, from rigid dump trucks, large wheel loaders and dozers through to mini excavators, as the scope of some of our work has evolved, particularly on projects closer to home." All 28 machines have been supplied with four-year/8,000-hour warranties and Customer Value Agreements (CVAs), providing planned maintenance and support to maximise uptime and long-term performance. Darren Bodio, National Account Manager at Finning UK & Ireland, said: "Walters and Finning have enjoyed a long-standing relationship, and it's a partnership that continues to grow as the business expands. "Major infrastructure, transport and housing developments are creating significant opportunities across the industry. Customers such as The Walters Group need reliable, high-performance equipment capable of meeting demanding workloads while helping projects stay on schedule. This latest investment reflects Walters' confidence in both the Cat product range and the support provided by Finning." Huw Richards, Group Managing Director of The Walters Group, said continued investment in modern equipment was central to maintaining reliable project delivery. "We provide certainty of delivery through owning, operating and maintaining one of the largest heavy plant fleets in the UK," he said. "Its reputation has been built on a right-first-time approach, an engaged workforce and a commitment to investing in modern equipment and working practices. "Working with Finning gives us confidence that we're supported by people who understand both our business and the needs of our customers. These latest additions will further strengthen our fleet as we continue delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK."
