  • The 4th Class Stationary Engineman must hold a certificate of qualification issued by the province in which the work will be performed and has passed any required test.
  • Must be able to obtain a reliability clearance from the federal government.
  • Stationary Engineman certification (MMF class 4)

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspection rounds, record observations and ensure readings on equipment and gauges are in accordance with regulations, operating procedures and occupational health and safety standards.
  • Perform troubleshooting to identify mechanical equipment problems and implement solutions to prevent damage, reduce costs, and prevent service interruption.
  • Be analytical and have the ability to solve technical issues in the plant, as well as good teamwork skills.
  • Assist in updating a preventive maintenance plan.
  • Respond to occupants' service calls.
  • Perform general, preventative maintenance, develop and repair various building systems and components.
  • Inspect and check equipment (boiler, air compressor, water tests, etc.) daily.
  • Estimate time and parts needed for repairs.
  • Comply with established standards.
  • Respond to emergencies for the proper functioning of operations.
  • Maintain and clean workspaces.
  • Perform any other duties related to the position’s responsibilities.
