Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance in multifamily or hospitality settings.
  • Advanced experience in two or more trades, such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, or painting.
  • Working knowledge of appliances.
  • High school education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical functions.
  • EPA Universal Certification is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the stated physical activities, including sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and occasional climbing.
  • Ability to work at a personal computer and detect auditory and visual alarms.
  • Availability to work extended or flexible hours and weekends as needed.
  • Availability to work some nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • Full-time availability and regular attendance at company functions and events.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through continuing education programs.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Maintenance Supervisor in setting scope, technical specifications, budget tracking, scheduling, material and equipment requirements, subcontractor and vendor bidding and management, and the overall planning and execution of facility and maintenance projects.
  • Ensure that the physical aspects of the community meet operational and safety standards.
  • Assist in the management, development, and mentorship of facilities team members in diagnosing problems and making repairs.
  • Complete unit inspections as needed and maintain orderly documentation.
  • Maintain an inventory of basic personal tools, including a hammer, screwdriver, adjustable wrench, tape measure, and flashlight.
  • Organize, maintain, and use provided supplies in a cost-effective manner.
  • Pre-diagnose and troubleshoot various building systems before scheduling repairs.
  • Repair issues and provide knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, and related areas.
  • Maintain an appearance appropriate to the company's image.
  • Complete additional tasks or duties assigned by community leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Pool Operator certification.
  • Intermediate computer and internet knowledge.
  • Ability to use on-site resident management software.
