We’re searching for an Autonomy Engineer to join Aurora’s Motion Planning Capabilities team. The Motion Planning Capabilities team is responsible for the development and maintenance of system-level capabilities for the Aurora Driver.

In this role, you will:

Provide end-to-end ownership of the Aurora Driver’s highway and surface street capabilities
Provide development of comprehensive offline testing suites and requirements pertinent to the capabilities
Provide cross-functional collaboration with the product integration team, core autonomy engineers, simulation and triage teams

Required Qualifications:

Robotics experience in motion planning, perception, or prediction
Experience building robust, testable, production-quality C++ code
Strong and proven stakeholder management skills
Experience owning features end-to-end as a product-focused engineer
7+ years of experience in a production software development environment

The base salary range for this position is $189k-$302K per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
