- Prior experience in home infusion, compounding, and/or specialty pharmacy is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A registered or licensed pharmacy technician license in good standing for Virginia is required.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or National Healthcareer Association certification is required.
- Prior customer service or patient services experience is required.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
- The employee must be able to work full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Central Time, for 40 hours per week.
- The employee must be able to work 100% in-office.
- Act as the single point of contact for specialty patients and liaison with branch personnel to coordinate timely medication dispensing and delivery.
- Work under the supervision of a specialty or branch pharmacist to capture assessment data, determine patients’ supply needs, and schedule new and refill medication deliveries.
- Run daily and weekly pharmacy reports as needed.
- Answer phones, warm-transfer calls to the appropriate location, monitor incoming faxes, and monitor TCMC refill queues.
- Send orders to physicians for signature.
- Work with intake and reimbursement staff to maintain active patient insurance coverage and pursue authorizations and re-authorizations with branch authorization and billing staff.
- Document all patient interactions and care coordination in the designated system of record.
- Complete therapy-specific training as required.
- Experience scheduling deliveries for specialty infusion pharmacy patients.
- Prior experience with home infusion.
- Experience with CPR+, Insight, Citus, Genesys, and Paylocity.
- Prior experience scheduling patient refill deliveries.
