A leading property and casualty insurance agency with an extended service contract division is seeking an individual(s) to lead and manage the claims function for its limited warranty and extended service contract business. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge of marine products, leadership, compliance, and customer service, to effectively direct and coordinate the department’s activities.
Develop a deep understanding of all branded programs and product offerings.
Set goals and objectives that are aligned with the company’s long-range plans for growth, profitability, and customer service.
Manage the claims function to ensure effective and accurate adjudication of claims presented by the dealer network, including:
Timely analysis and communications with service advisors based on plan coverage, facts, or allegations of each claim.
Prompt, cost effective, and proper disposition of all claims within delegated authority.
Negotiates disposition of claims with business partners and customers.
Recognizes and implements alternate means of resolution.
Recognizes cases requiring escalation based on severity protocols for timely referral to the next level of management.
Participate in developing and maintaining operating systems with new OEM and Retail programs to include pricing, pricing codes, rate terms, eligibility qualifiers, terms and conditions, components, business rules, forms, and state specific rules.
Reviews all program documents, including terms and conditions, to identify areas for improvement and suggests improvements.
Works closely with developer(s) to execute operation system enhancements with new program developments.
Create standard operating procedures to govern the department’s activities.
Prepare month-end claims reports.
Through a deep knowledge and extensive use of the company’s operating system, create data points to measure progress and to review achievements of divisions goals and objectives.
Effectively manage resolution of dealer and customer inquiries.
Proactively expand awareness of product offerings to the marine industry.
Present portal training to service managers and service writers.
Build and manage a team of adjusters based on claims volume
Represents Global Product Protection as a technical resource and acts within established professional guidelines as well as applicable state laws.
Participate in sales and service support activities. Attend dealer meetings, VIP events and boat shows to promote the business.
Maintains all applicable personal professional and organizational licenses and certifications required by regulators, underwriters, and HUB International Limited or any of its subsidiaries.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience desired
Five years or more in comparable experience in the marine, automotive, or RV Industry.
Prior warranty or financial service business experience and the ability to interpret an extended warranty contract.
Marine technical knowledge and experience a must.
Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 to $110,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
