Requirements
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of experience in administrative coordination is required, preferably in healthcare.
  • Proficiency in word processing, Microsoft Excel, and database applications is required.
  • Strong data-entry, typing, and verbal and written communication skills are required, including typing at 50 words per minute.
  • Ability to travel to various Cascadia sites as needed is required.
  • Ability to commute to various Cascadia sites and locations as required is required.
Responsibilities
  • Submit and track service authorizations and reauthorizations for clients in residential and outpatient programs.
  • Work with leadership and clinicians to obtain necessary information and complete the denial appeal process.
  • Review insurance systems to monitor activity, address denials, and correct service documentation errors.
  • Verify insurance details, update electronic medical records, and maintain accuracy in client records.
  • Complete annual audits and maintain compliance of financial records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support organizational operations.
  • Serve as the point of contact for self-pay functions by adjudicating applications, tracking balances, and reconciling accounts.
  • Assist clients with insurance applications and support Oregon Health Plan enrollments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Qualified Mental Health Associate credential is preferred.
  • Administrative coordination experience in healthcare is preferred.
