Team Overview:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team plays a critical role as trusted partner to businesses across BlackRock, supporting all analysis, reporting, and business planning needs. We produce multi-year plans and forecasts; create and analyze business metrics and identify cost savings opportunities; and deliver economic insight into the relationships between costs and revenues to improve the financial success of the business going forward. We are a valued and critical component of the management function, working at all levels of BlackRock to provide both a broad and deep understanding of the firm’s financial position and opportunities.
Position Overview:
This VP-level FP&A position drives multi-year planning and transformation initiatives with the actively managed investment teams within the Portfolio Management Group (PMG). The FP&A team works closely with the PMG platform and groups across Finance and Strategy to craft growth plans and develop financial forecasts to guide business decisions. The role entails leading special projects, crafting senior-level presentations, conducting analysis, developing strategic decision-making models and driving change within the business. Candidates should have proven problem solving and project management skills, be able to multi-task and effectively manage priorities, clearly communicate results orally and in writing, and should be able to analyze and interpret data.
Responsibilities:
- Develop multi-year plans for actively managed investment businesses within the Portfolio Management Group
- Partner with business leaders to develop and track KPIs and leading indicators aligned with business and corporate objectives
- Project manage cross-functional transformation initiatives
- Develop high-quality presentations and executive summaries for senior leadership, supplemented by FP&A team inputs and analyses
- Build and maintain robust financial models to support scenario analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (including Controllers, Human Resources, Investor Relations, Corporate Strategy) and Finance teams in advancing projects and managing the business
- Drive a collaborative and supportive work environment, actively seeking out opportunities to develop team members

Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of experience in the financial services or technology sector, preferably at a premier asset manager, investment bank, public accounting or consulting firm or innovative technology organization
- Management consulting experience is preferred
- Ability to clearly articulate and present ideas both in written presentations and orally to senior management
- Demonstrated experience leading complex projects with cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to decompose problems and develop innovative solutions

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $173,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
