Requirements
  • Bachelors of Science (BS) in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology or related scientific field with 4+ years of testing laboratory experience
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management software systems (LIMS)
  • Strong initiative and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Experience with relevant test methods such as ICP-OES, auto-titration, X-Ray Fluorescence, tensile testing, material property testing, etc.
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 standard requirements
  • Experience with sample prep and analysis, chemical handling and laboratory hazards
  • Ability to regularly lift 35 lbs.
Responsibilities
  • Provides support of trainings, document control programs, and supports coordinating resources effectively to support laboratory training goals
  • Builds effective relationships with employees to improve success
  • Provides training to new hires in safety, company policy, procedures, base lab practices, and other topics
  • Maintains electronic records of training for the analytical laboratory
  • Supports training audits and assessment programs
  • Assists with routine chemical, metrological, and/or metallurgical analysis and reporting

Redwood Materials is developing a closed-loop, domestic supply chain for lithium-ion batteries, focusing on engineering sustainability by transforming the battery supply chain and offering large-scale sources of domestic anode and cathode materials produced from an increasing number of recycled batteries.
