Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience implementing and supporting Oracle Applications is required.
  • Experience as an Oracle Accounts Receivable functional practitioner with more than five full life-cycle implementations is required.
  • Understanding of financial and accounting processes is required.
  • Expert knowledge of the Order to Cash process is required.
  • Ability to understand and manipulate concepts to design solutions that fit high-level business requirements and everyday limitations.
  • Ability to manage activities with short due dates while following established processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and identify and resolve project issues quickly and effectively.
  • Technical understanding of application development and technical infrastructure in an Oracle 11i (11.5.x) enterprise resource planning environment, including implementation experience.
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and Visio is required.
  • Ability to travel, including internationally.
Responsibilities
  • Receive and review business requirements and functional specifications defined by business process owners and project teams.
  • Validate functional specifications and obtain sign-off from business process owners and project teams.
  • Challenge current processes and compare them with application best practices, using standard functionality where applicable.
  • Work with business process owners to define business processes to be implemented with the application.
  • Develop gap analyses between business processes and standard Oracle functionality.
  • Map identified gaps to proposed workarounds or customized solutions for review and acceptance by business process owners.
  • Finalize functional specifications and business requirements with business owners and project teams.
  • Determine application setup specifications and document all setup parameters, including BR 100 documentation.
  • Follow IT quality assurance and healthcare team standards and references for quality, performance, and reusability of developed solutions.
  • Prepare scripts to test application setup.
  • Work with users to perform configuration testing, CRP testing, and quality assurance regression testing.
  • Secure final sign-off from business process owners for application setup.
  • Design and document functional specifications using MD50.
  • Review MD50 functional specifications with software engineers and application database administrators to define customization requirements.
  • Evaluate and document processes for integrating customizations into the application setup.
  • Work with IT personnel on technical specifications and testing of customizations with the functional team.
  • Provide comprehensive training on customizations related to the area of expertise for business core teams.
  • Prepare training documentation.
  • Represent business departments during planning for new business-practice changes affecting Oracle applications or other software processes.
  • Gather requests from the user community and validate priorities, budgets, and resource availability with IT and business project managers and business owners.
  • Follow project management methodology and manage tasks and activities within the scope of new programs and projects.
  • Deploy the application to other business units and locations as requested.
  • Participate in projects involving integrations with Oracle applications, interfaces, or other business-process software.
  • Work with the IT project manager to estimate, plan, schedule, monitor, evaluate, document, and direct projects to implement complete business solutions.
  • Contribute to project plans based on project management methodologies.
  • Assist the IT project manager in defining and managing project change-control procedures and using available methodologies and tools through client acceptance of results.
  • Provide post-implementation support.
  • Serve as a third-tier functional resource for issues related to Oracle Applications within the core area of responsibility.
  • Serve as a second-tier resource for questions about application functionality.
