Responsibilities
  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
  • Support the Perfect Patient Experience process by helping patients come into the office and ensuring they are comfortable during their visits.
  • Schedule appointments to support smooth, productive days for healthcare providers.
  • Interact and communicate with patients and guests in the reception area during wait times.
  • Answer telephones promptly and handle calls efficiently and thoroughly.
  • Complete all tasks on the front office checklist daily.
  • Post payments to patient accounts in accordance with company policies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the practice management system for patient registration and electronic check-in, and keep account information accurate and current for each visit.
  • Efficiently check in patients, obtain necessary consents, notify the back office promptly of each patient's arrival, and present pertinent patient information to the back-office team.
  • Confirm patient appointments in accordance with office policies or at least two days in advance.
  • Return and resolve patient messages received from the Contact Center in a timely manner.
  • Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings.
  • Understand business imperatives and how the role directly impacts metrics.
  • Make decisions consistent with the PDS Brand framework and support the PDS Brand.
  • Become knowledgeable about and support clinicians with patient education regarding the Mouth-Body Connection.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies and address others professionally and respectfully.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business is preferred.
  • Knowledge of patient insurance is preferred.

  • A patient-advocate approach, including flexibility, empathy, passion, and ethical conduct, is preferred.
