Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A Food Handler Card or Serve Safe certification, or the ability to obtain one, is required, along with an understanding of kitchen and dining sanitation and food codes.
  • At least four years of full-cycle food service experience in an upscale dining environment is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills are required.
  • A friendly, patient, and professional demeanor is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellent customer service are required.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage all food and beverage staff for front-of-house operations.
  • Ensure resident satisfaction through a high-quality dining experience.
  • Provide initial and ongoing training for dining room staff, including servers and support personnel.
  • Prepare weekly schedules, adjust them for community events, and maintain budget controls.
  • Monitor table assignments and seating arrangements to accommodate resident needs and preferences.
  • Organize and oversee special dining events, holiday celebrations, and themed meals.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory control of food, alcohol, supplies, and equipment.
  • Monitor food-handling procedures and service flow.
  • Order and manage dining room supplies, including linens, utensils, and tableware.
  • Build relationships with residents and address feedback, concerns, and special requests.
  • Provide a safe and comfortable work environment while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Cover shifts resulting from call-offs.
  • Ensure compliance with local health department regulations and company standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two years of supervisory or front-of-house/dining room management experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in senior living is a plus.
  • Team-player attitude and proven leadership skills are desirable.
