Commercial Social Lead

Location: Mail Metro Media Headquarters – London

Job Introduction

Best in class, social is an increasingly important in driving revenue growth across the MailMetroMedia (MMM) portfolio. As such, we are looking for a Commercial Social Lead who will be responsible for commercialising our existing product suite across social and associated sales packages. 

The focus of this role will be to maintain and grow existing partnerships with social networks whilst supporting our wider sales team as the expert in MailMetroMedia’s social offering and ensuring the sales team is supported with all the collateral to take this to market and maintain MailMetroMedia reputation of being an industry leader when it comes to seriously popular social content.

Main Responsibilities

Product Development

• The expert in the MailMetroMedia commercial product suite across Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube
• Responsible for maximising the value, and associated revenue from the MailMetroMedia commercial product suite
• Consistently refine our existing product suite working closely with vendors and social networks
• Propose developments to evolve our product suite and evaluating any required 3rd Party vendors
• Develop new commercial packages and support the sales team in communicating these to market
• Ensure our product playbook is communicated to the market in line with Sales and Marketing efforts

Revenue Growth

• Manage and maintain our relationship with our partners to drive revenue across Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube
• Build, track and manage a revenue forecast and pipeline to achieve periodic targets and build a broad base of repeat revenue from key partners
• Work with the sales team to create go-to-market collateral to ensure success 

Commerce

• Work closely with MailMetroMedia’s commerce and affiliate team to drive incremental revenue from social commerce
• Develop social commerce strategy with a focus to hit budgeted lines and communicate WoW progress to the wider team
• Analyse and adapt the social commerce strategy periodically in line with business requirements
• Create and update go-to-market sales collateral to ensure our social commerce product suite is effectively communicated to the market

Team and Internal relationships

• Internal liaison between Sales and Dev and Editorial, for all product and set up  
• Work closely with monetisation and platform teams to ensure viability of new product suggestions
• Develop strong relationship with the Sales and Partnership Teams to grow revenue and ensure that all MailMetroMedia products are packaged and marketed correctly

Market Profile

• A social media evangelist who is able to effectively communicate the strength of the MailMetroMedia commercial product suite
• Participate in delivering MailMetroMedia positioning at industry trade shows and panels
• The ability to network with partners and clients on a social level and attend external events

Person Specification

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working within digital marketing and/or social media
• A solid understanding of digital marketing and social media 
• Demonstrable experience of managing and developing third party partner relationships
• Strong analytical skills, with proven ability to share insights that drive results and customer value
• Ability to generate revenue through social media
• Outstanding communication skills
• Impeccable Excel and PPT skills
• The ability to multi-task and prioritise your workload
