JOB FUNCTION: Inspect, repair, adjust, test, and replace parts as required on assigned turbine  generator units. 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•    Be responsible for all engine and generator maintenance related to the turbine generator 

units and subsystems. 

•    Perform all service checks following manufacturer recommendations. 

•    Keep adequate and proper operational and maintenance logs. 
•    Identify all spare parts as needed for use and stock inventory. 
•    Responsible for all fire suppression systems and maintenance connected with the generators. 

•    Interface with outside service contractors used for specialty work on the turbine generator units. 

•    Responsible for receiving fuel deliveries and tank records. 

•    Direct maintenance personnel as assigned by the Chief Engineer. 
•    Perform other job-related work as assigned. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

•    Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions. 

•    Capable of trouble shooting using prints, diagrams, and specifications 

•    Possess a strong background in gas turbine engines 

•    A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights, as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. 

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years turbine engine experience. 

EDUCATION: High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or  equivalent required. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

•    Three years’ experience with generator systems. 

•    Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions. 

•    Ability to write correspondence. 

•    Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. 

SECURITY: Must be a U.S. Citizen, and able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security  Clearance. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbents may work in conditions that require operating industrial  machinery/power tools and motor vehicles. Additionally, incumbents may participate in work that  requires walking, bending, squatting, and carrying materials throughout the facility.
