Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience in quality control, construction, or engineering disciplines will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in quality control for heavy civil, geotechnical, or environmental construction projects.
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, specifications, and applicable industry standards (e.g., ASTM, AASHTO, ACI).
  • Strong attention to detail with effective organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work on active project sites as required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Control Plans (QCPs) in compliance with contract documents and company standards.
  • Perform and document inspections, tests, and audits of construction activities, materials, and workmanship to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to address and resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Track, report, and monitor non-conformance items and corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintain organized and accurate quality records, including inspection reports, testing data, and certifications.
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support safety and environmental compliance initiatives, ensuring that quality control processes align with Forgen’s Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and closeout reviews to represent the quality control function.
