Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice.
  • Hold a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice; in Wisconsin, a valid multi-state RN license may be used under Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
  • Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Hold Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications as required by the patient population in the specialty area worked.
Responsibilities
  • Assess and monitor critically ill patients suffering from life-threatening illnesses or injuries.
  • Provide nursing care in the Critical Care/Intensive Care Unit.
  • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., including every third weekend.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Critical Care Nursing experience.
  • Specialty certifications based on patient population, such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN).
