Cyber Software Engineer

Peraton is looking for a seasoned Cyber Software Engineer to join our team at the Regional Cyber Center program. 

Location: Wiesbaden, Germany

In this role, you will get to:

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions that interact with and manage Linux-based systems, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
• Build and maintain software services for defensive cybersecurity operations, including containerized applications and standalone services.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams and system administrators to design, test, and deploy software solutions that enhance system security and operational efficiency.
• Implement authentication, identity management, and access control mechanisms using Linux-based technologies and industry best practices.
• Leverage Microsoft Power Apps services, including Power Automate, to streamline workflows and enhance system automation.
• Utilize Power BI and other reporting tools to generate analytics, track system performance, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, including RMF STIG standards, through software-driven solutions and continuous monitoring.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Engineering roles. An additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
• Must be able to qualify for technical expert status accreditation (TESA) by having a bachelor's degree in a STEM field plus 3 years of specialized experience OR an associate’s degree plus 7 years of specialized experience OR a major certification plus 7 years of specialized experience.
• Active DoD Approved 8140 Certification (DCWF:521 - CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CEH, Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, PenTest+, or SSCP) and (8140 Residential within 90 days of acceptance -  Oracle Certified Associate: Java Programmer; or Oracle Certified Professional Java Developer; or RHCA, or Azure DevOps Engineer Export; or GIAC GPYC, GWEB; or RedHat Certified Enterprise Application Developer).
• U.S. citizenship required.
• An Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • If applying with a Secret clearance, the applicant must be able to pass a Tier5 investigation and obtain a Top Secret SCI clearance upon hiring.

Preferred: 

• Active Top Secret SCI security clearance.

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
