Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Evidence of ability to analyze and translate user requirements into specifications and prepare detailed design/implementation documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability in analytical reasoning and logical problem solving.
  • Knowledge of application design, build, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of using business applications for collaboration and communication. (Preferred)
  • Experience with ERP solutions like Workday and Kronos business applications.

  • Knowledge of agile project management.
  • Ability to advocate for appropriate technology solutions and to continually advance the organization's readiness and capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure applications.
  • Maintain, monitor, and patch existing applications.
  • Add, modify, and audit system/user permission to applications, maintain appropriate system security levels and continually improve enterprise threat posture.
  • Maintain, monitor, and audit applications configuration, backups, and jobs.
  • Runs application testing on designed programs, and provides accurate, quality analyses of new program applications.
  • Upgrade and migrate legacy applications.
  • Perform application capacity planning, set up, performance tuning and monitoring.
  • Participate in purchasing decisions, testing and presales due diligence including tech reviews.
  • Detect and troubleshoot application slowness and resource contention.
  • Provide continuous planned uptime and participate in rotating on-call duties, planning and implementation.
  • Assist with application task automation and workflows.
  • Understand the underlying application schema and be a data steward to assist in queries, views, stored procedures, reports, and ETLs.
  • Participate in agile team projects.
  • Locates potential problems, diagnoses application errors, devises or modifies procedures to solve them in an efficient manner considering computer equipment capacity and limitations.
  • Implements required and approved software applications, and assures the processes required for the business to operate and succeed are running smoothly.
  • Develops diagrams and flow charts for end users to follow.
  • Prepares reports on the application; writes documentation to describe application logic, and corrections as needed; creates any needed instruction manuals or help screens describing installation and operating procedures; and maintains documentation as necessary for operational and security audits.
  • Trains and supports the staff in using the applications.
  • This role will support the Workday SCM module.

March 24, 2026 at 1:09 PM The NASCAR Foundation welcomes two new members to its Board of Directors, including businesswoman and philanthropist Amy Lea France and former Halifax Health Executive Director Joe Petrock. "Amy Lea France and Joe Petrock are wonderful additions to the NASCAR Foundation Board," said Mike Helton, Chairman of the Board, The NASCAR Foundation. "Both bring unique perspectives and a shared passion for the sport, the community and supporting the health and quality of life for children and their families. Their leadership and expertise will help us continue to expand the reach and impact of our programs." Amy Lea France, a longtime advocate for charitable initiatives, brings a deep connection to NASCAR and a passion for community service. Through her philanthropic work, she has supported numerous programs focused on children's health, education, and family well-being. Her experience and dedication to service will help guide the Foundation as it continues to grow its mission and outreach. France previously served and supported numerous local and national charities, including Easter Seals, Halifax Humane Society, Straight Up Soldier Foundation, United Abolitionists, Ronald McDonald House, Clean the World, American Heart Association, and Michael J. Fox Foundation. Her role as a businesswoman across multiple organizations along with her longstanding roots in racing make her a natural addition to The NASCAR Foundation. Joe Petrock served as Executive Director at Halifax Health, where he played a key role in advancing patient care initiatives and community health programs.
