Requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience in a data or business intelligence-focused role.
  • At least 4 years of experience creating business intelligence dashboards and reports, with a focus on data visualization and data storytelling, and high proficiency using Power BI.
  • At least 4 years of experience writing SQL queries for data mining.
  • Ability to independently understand data through business context, exploration, and logical connections.
  • Advanced proficiency with Power BI, including building efficient semantic models, creating dynamic measures using Data Analysis Expressions, using Power Query for data sourcing and transformation, implementing row-level security, using calculation groups, data visualization, and Performance Analyzer.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Structured Query Language, specifically Transact-SQL, including standard select queries, joins across multivariate datasets using multiple keys, data normalization, and window functions and methods.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
Responsibilities
  • Build effective and efficient reports and dashboards using best practices in data presentation and design language.
  • Migrate existing reporting inventory to a centralized semantic model.
  • Use Valtrune to complete full data and report validation.
  • Automate and streamline manual processes.
  • Use advanced SQL techniques and multi-stage transformation methodologies to normalize, cleanse, and standardize inconsistent datasets.
  • Infer and establish relationships between disparate data sources and systems of record to support unified reporting and analytics.
  • Transform raw source data into reporting-layer-ready objects, including creating synthetic keys derived from non-standardized attributes.
  • Update semantic models to support new reporting needs.
  • Monitor model efficiency and implement changes as needed to optimize performance.
  • Identify pertinent trends to share with leaders.
  • Proactively analyze data to offer deeper insights into high- and low-performing key performance indicators.
  • Document report development processes for business contingency purposes.
  • Maintain semantic model documentation, including data sources and table relationships.
  • Maintain an index of all active reports, including data lineage, purpose, and audience.
  • Maintain the reporting changelog.

In the role, Noyes will focus on deepening customer relationships and supporting the growth of the company's third-party channel. Noyes spent 17 years at Liberty, where he became the longest-tenured account executive.
