PitchBook has become a data partner for ChatGPT for Financial Services, OpenAI's new offering for investment banking and equity research teams. The partnership makes PitchBook's firmographic dataset on companies, investors, and funds accessible directly within ChatGPT. Teams using ChatGPT for Financial Services can query PitchBook's dataset without switching platforms. The data is delivered through the Essential connector and indexed within ChatGPT for Financial Services, requiring no separate activation. PitchBook, Morningstar's private capital market intelligence platform, provides human-verified data to support AI-driven investor workflows. The integration allows users to access private market intelligence whilst building models, pitchbooks, and client materials. Data appears with citations, enabling teams to inspect supporting evidence. Tom Van Buskirk, PitchBook's EVP of Technology and Engineering, emphasised that the partnership reflects the industry's view of PitchBook as a primary data source.
Maywood has integrated PitchBook's private market intelligence into its AI platform. The partnership enables Maywood's proactive AI agent, Maverick, to access PitchBook's private company data covering over 30 key firmographic details through the PitchBook Essential Connector. The integration allows Maverick to deliver private company data directly to users through email, Teams, and the platform. This gives senior dealmakers access to trusted data for making informed decisions. Maverick is designed for senior professionals in investment banking, private equity, commercial banking, wealth management, and auditing. The AI agent runs continuously in the background, surfacing insights and drafting responses whilst maintaining compliance with FINRA and SEC requirements. According to Kent Goodman, Maywood's chief operating officer, the integration enables dealmakers to apply the same level of care to their entire network at scale.
