Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science related degree field (Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, Computer Science, Physics, etc.) with 2+ years of experience (engineer) or 4+ years of experience (senior engineer)
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Strong programming skills (especially C++, MATLAB and/or python)
  • Strong knowledge base in signal and information processing (spanning some of the following areas: statistical signal processing, array processing, signal modeling, linear algebra, probability and random processes, optimization, tracking/data fusion, adaptive signal processing, digital signal processing, information theory)
Responsibilities
  • Help formulate and propose technical solutions (algorithms, approaches, etc.) that cover all stages of acoustic processing including but not limited to detection, beamforming, narrowband and broadband processing, tracking, classification, sensor/data fusion, and decision making
  • Implement prototype algorithms in software (MATLAB, Python, C++) and support the embedding of those algorithms into prototype hardware systems
  • Help create and present technical presentations and reports
  • Articulate and communicate technical contributions to team members and Group management
  • Produce high-quality results, analyses, code, reports, briefs, etc.
  • Complete tasks on-time
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a science related field (Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, Computer Science, Physics, etc.)
  • Active SECRET or TOP SECRET security clearance
  • Experience with sonar processing chains, undersea systems, and undersea acoustics
  • Experience interacting with U.S. Navy and other U.S. Government organizations and processes
