  • Minimum of 10 years experience in asbestos and other hazardous building material inspections, renovations, and abatement projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, keen problem-solving ability, adaptability, and commitment to a career in environmental consulting.
  • Attention to detail is needed for preparing daily reports/field notes and documenting work activities for report inclusion.
  • Experience in preparation of cost proposals for the Work, managing tasks and projects, managing subcontractors, invoicing, and day-to-day project administration and management activities.
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Managing and/or conducting hazardous building materials projects, including but not limited to building surveys/inspections (asbestos, lead, PCBs, and mold/moisture) and managing/overseeing asbestos abatement monitoring projects.
  • Client communications, preparing proposals and task orders for project work, managing/coordinating subcontractors, conducting/coordinating building material surveys, performing quality control reviews, and report writing.
  • Travel to job sites and working out of the office approximately 50% of the time.
Desired Qualifications
  • Preferred candidates will have certification/license as an Asbestos Inspector in Massachusetts and other New England States.
  • Certification/license as an Asbestos Project Designer or Management Planner is also preferred.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in environmental science or related field is preferred.
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and annual refresher courses are preferred.
