As an Engineering Intern at Instawork, you will be an integral member of our Platform team, building and maintaining the shared code and infrastructure used by our entire Engineering org. Interns will receive mentorship to improve their software engineering skills and to learn how to run, monitor, and maintain production applications at scale. Each intern completes and presents a portfolio-worthy project at the end of the internship.
What You’ll Do:
- Work as part of our Platform team to update our code and infrastructure to improve performance, monitoring, and scalability
- Ship to production from Day 1
- Learn new skills through mentorship from senior engineers
Who You Are:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Completed courses in Software Engineering and CS fundamentals
- Experience using Python, AWS, Docker, and databases to build web applications. Terraform experience a plus
- Able to work in San Francisco
For CA based applicants:
- The monthly pay rate for this position is $6,000 - $7,500
