Responsibilities
- Abstracts and interprets patient records for key oncology data and information related to billing and reimbursement
- Performs data entry and ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of curated data
- Identifies and communicates patient data deficiencies and discrepancies
- Ability to examine, know and act on detailed clinical documentation to capture accurate data
- Participates in analysis and reporting of clinical review outcomes
- Track metrics related to daily roles/responsibilities to ensure successful workflows and processes
- Demonstrates professionalism and clinical expertise when working with clinics and providers
- Contributes to Quality Improvement initiatives
- Develops best practices for Signatera Oncology Clinical Support at Natera
- Problem solves with other internal Natera teams to overcome barriers
- Must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stabilize multiple demands and respond to time constraints
- Keeps abreast of changes in workflow processes and proactively prepares for the implementation of new data measures and workflows
- Participates in continuous professional development; keeps current on emerging trends and technologies in oncology and cancer care
- Responsible for learning the aspects of compliance in the company by completing all mandatory compliance training
- The ability to promote and maintain a respectful culture of employee, employer, and business confidentiality
- Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that results in a positive work relationship with co-workers and managers

- This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form. To perform the job, the Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training, and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire
- Must stay up to date on Natera employee training requirements
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- The qualified candidate will have: A BSN degree with a minimum of 5+ years of Oncology experience (in-patient/out-patient). License Requirement: Registered Nurse (RN) - State or Compact License. A solid foundational understanding of cancer biology, pathology, and cancer staging. A strong working knowledge of the various oncologic treatment modalities in the neoadjuvant/adjuvant setting. A detailed understanding of the oncology patient journey. Familiarity with ICD-10 codes. An understanding of the NCCN guidelines for hereditary cancer risks. A demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members to achieve team goals. Adaptability skills to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, databases, and Google suite of work products. Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) and attention to detail. Excellent computer skills
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) Experience with AJCC staging is desirable. Experience in EPIC is preferred, but not required. Experience in Salesforce is preferred, but not required
