Requirements
  • A Certified Medical Assistant credential or equivalent experience is required.
  • Current General X-ray Machine Operator certification is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Provide professional medical care for clinical patients under physician supervision.
  • Assist physicians and staff in coordinating patient care.
  • Attend department, clinic, or company meetings as required.
  • Complete required annual in-service programs and education.
  • Follow company policies, facility safety requirements, and procedures.
  • Record attendance and time punches in UKG.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in electronic and manual systems.
  • Maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information, and document appropriately in patient charts.
  • Initially assess patients’ orthopedic complaints and screen patients for appropriate information.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnostic procedures.
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Greet patients and maintain a friendly demeanor while providing customer service.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations for biohazardous disposal.
  • Sterilize instruments and keep examination rooms and clinic work areas clean and tidy.
  • Assist other team members with patient care and balance the workload when needed.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and educate patients and family members about the process.
  • Protect patients, themselves, and other staff from radiation exposure according to applicable standards.
  • Set up and operate radiographic equipment used in medical diagnosis or treatment while implementing infection-control procedures.
  • Check radiographic images for clarity, retake images when needed, and transmit images to databases.
