This is a hybrid position, with the team meeting in person two days a week at our Chicago HQ.
About the Role
The G2 Data Solutions team is looking for an ambitious and motivated person who want to jump-start a career in technology sales. This entry level role which reports into our Head of Data Solutions is the perfect opportunity for individuals to fine-tune their communication skills by conducting initial conversations with professionals in the software industry. The ideal candidate is looking for a long-term career in sales and eager to gain experience with cold calling, relationship building, and pipeline development.
In this role, you will be encouraged to think creatively and be comfortable working cross functionally within internal stakeholders. G2 Data Solutions has seen tremendous client growth - most notably, Buy-Side Investors, Investment Banks, and Management Consultants - and you will have the unique opportunity to establish relationships with a focus on identifying new business.

In this role you will:
- Drive sales growth by finding and engaging prospects via phone and email
- Connect with and quickly develop relationships with contacts and prospects
- Set-up meetings with qualified prospects and sales reps
- Collaborate with marketing and sales on lead quality and conversion
- Build a pipeline and execute on early stages of the sales process
- Create and prioritize strategic target account lists
- Exceed goals of qualified opportunities and closed business
Minimum Qualifications:

- 6+ months of sales or related experience
- Strong desire to have a long term career in sales
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills
