Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in healthcare management or a related field is required.
  • Five years of provider or payor healthcare experience is required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with health plan liaison personnel and provider relations representatives.
  • Gather information from health plan liaisons, websites, newsletters, and other publications regarding health plan policies and procedures that affect the hospital's provision of services and reimbursement.
  • Maintain and update reference materials provided periodically to appropriate employees.
  • Ensure that appropriate operations staff have access to and training on health plan online systems.
  • Provide focused training to departments on managed care contracts and health plan policies and procedures to improve compliance.
  • Develop materials and provide training on EPIC payers and plans to improve registration accuracy.
  • Address day-to-day operational issues and support training and process improvement.
  • Assist the Managed Care Operations Director with the director's duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in healthcare administration, business, or equivalent experience is preferred.
