  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent in relevant years of work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mobile software testing and test automation for both Android and iOS native apps.
  • Expert in conventional QA activities such as contributing to refinement, test case management and defect tracking.
  • Excellent technical leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Are passionate about testing software and are constantly striving to make software testing more consistent, efficient and reliable.
  • Knowledge of integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, Circle CI or Azure DevOps pipelines etc.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
Responsibilities
  • Create range of Automated Frameworks to enable remote testing to interact with electronic locking systems while running on a device farm such as BrowserStack.
  • Design and Build Automated tests to validate Allegion native iOS and Android mobile apps that communicate with our hardware products and databases.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using tools such as Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest to improve quality, efficiency, and enable faster delivery of high-quality software.
  • Provide guidance and drive collaboration efforts with Platform and Mobile developers on Design for Test activities.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software verification employees.
  • Translate functional requirements and acceptance criteria into detailed verification test plan and test scripts ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Define strategies for automated functional testing, including integration into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Product and Development throughout the SDLC.

  • Platform-Specific Skills: For Android: Expertise in Android Studio for testing and debugging, Experience with ADB (Android Debug Bridge) for interacting with Android devices, Knowledge of Robolectric for unit testing, Expertise with Android's built-in testing tools (e.g., Logcat, Android Profiler), Experience in setting up and using Android emulators and real devices for testing, Understanding of Android fragmentation and compatibility testing across different OS versions and devices. For iOS: Expertise in using Xcode for testing and debugging, Experience with Xcode Instruments for performance and memory analysis, Knowledge of XCTest for unit testing, Proficiency with Apple's built-in testing tools (e.g., Console, Device Logs), Expertise setting up and using iOS simulators and real devices for testing, Understanding of iOS compatibility testing across different devices and OS versions.
