Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in human services, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Valid Substance Abuse Counselor-in-Training credential or state equivalent if working in an Addiction Recovery program.
  • Ability to obtain American Heart Association Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification within thirty days of hire.
  • Ability to complete training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within sixty days of hire.
  • Ability to complete Community Based Residential Facility trainings within ninety days of hire.
  • Availability for PRN as needed coverage during clinic hours from Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
  • Provide cognitive behavioral and other therapeutic services, including group sessions, to patients according to clinical standards of care.
  • Assess the function of behavior and develop individualized plans to address maladaptive behaviors under the supervision of a clinical leader.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of interventions by administering outcome measures and modifying treatment plans based on results.
  • Document mental health services, therapeutic treatment plans, outcome assessments, and psychosocial information within the medical record according to regulations and payer expectations.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to assist in the development and adjustment of patient care plans.
  • Communicate treatment interventions and support needs to interdisciplinary team members and patient support systems.
  • Provide training and education to parents and support persons on positive reinforcement techniques and strategies for managing challenging situations.
  • Offer training support to other direct care team members, such as nurses and clinic assistants, regarding cognitive behavioral treatment interventions.
  • Maintain patient safety and the safety of the facility.
  • Participate in supervision sessions with the clinical leader to report on patient progress and response to interventions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Twelve months of relevant Cognitive Behavioral Treatment experience in clinical care, human services, or an educational equivalent.
  • A current and active driver license in good standing.
  • Compliance with Residential Care Center and Community Based Residential Facility training for non-residential programs.
