Requirements
  • PhD or Master's degree with 2+ years of research experience in computational chemistry, materials science, physics, mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline
Responsibilities
  • Develop models and perform calculations with finite element analysis (FEA) and multiphysics computational tools (eg, Comsol or similar) to simulate real-world designs and devices
  • Develop system- and subsystem-coupled models that incorporate experimental data and predict system performance; iterate designs with system engineers to optimize system design
  • Brief internal and external customers
  • Attend and present at conferences
  • Write research proposals, patent disclosures and journal publications
  • Prior experience developing and executing multiphysics, multiscale modeling and simulation tools is essential
  • Some experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is preferred
  • Experience with specific multiphysics modules, such as CFD, Electromagnetics, Fuel Cell & Electrolyzer is preferred
Desired Qualifications
  • The base salary range for this full-time position is $128,900 - $157,900 + + benefits
