- Bachelor's degree or relevant certifications in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline or 4+ years of experience as a planner/scheduler in a similar environment.
- Understanding of production processes in a laboratory setting.
- Experience working in a GMP environment is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a penchant for process improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Create a consolidated demand plan from global sales forecasts and internal requirements, adjusting for forecast error and perishability.
- Load all MRP parameters with latest available information and evaluate all reports, signals, and other outputs for accuracy, facilitating well-informed decisions.
- Create and maintain the master production schedule (MPS) with consideration to current inventory levels, safety stock requirements, shelf life, and demand while meeting all specified service levels and minimizing scrap.
- In coordination with the Manufacturing team, develop a daily activity plan supporting the MPS requirements and create summary reports for area management.
- Initiate transfer orders to fulfillment centers to meet regional demand and minimize shipping and handling costs.
- Ensure that materials, equipment, and personnel are available as needed for production, communicating exceptions to all necessary stakeholders and seeking guidance as necessary to resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to ensure that production goals are met.
- Review completed batch records for variances against plan, enter completed builds into the NetSuite ERP system, and update bills of materials as appropriate.
