- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a classroom behaviorist specializing in work with children ages 0-5 and their families.
- A master's degree in Behavior Science, Psychology, or a related field, with advanced knowledge of child development and behavior.
- A valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience assessing young children's social and emotional functioning.
- Experience with or knowledge of group dynamics and intervention with children.
- Ability to facilitate reflective supervision with individuals and groups.
- Familiarity with Early Head Start performance standards and California Department of Education regulations.
- Ability to handle confidential information and protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of patient Protected Health Information.
- Participation in performance quality improvement activities according to designated role and responsibilities.
- Ability to work sensitively with the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Licensure or registration with the Behavioral Science Board, such as Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapist.
- Intermediate proficiency with computer programs in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and email.
- Knowledge of database software.
- Proficiency with an Electronic Health Records system.
- Completion of required new hire orientation, sexual harassment prevention, mandated reporter, CPR, and first aid training.
- Compliance with required immunization or declination, education verification, reference check, background fingerprint clearance, drug and alcohol screening, and tuberculosis screening.
- Provide school-based early childhood mental health consultation services to children ages 0-5 and their families enrolled in Early Head Start and Head Start programs.
- Collaborate with caregivers, teachers, family services workers, and home visitors to address children's behavioral health concerns.
- Provide home-based services through the Early Head Start home-based option when needed.
- Gather information, assess needs, and formulate therapeutic interventions for children referred for behavioral health consultation.
- Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain case notes and other records and prepare periodic reports as required.
- Facilitate reflective supervision with field staff and teachers in conjunction with early childhood mental health consultation.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision.
- Observe early childhood settings to understand the programs provided to children.
- Consult with center-based and home-based staff about practices that affect and promote the social-emotional development of enrolled children.
- Meet regularly with Early Childhood Services staff and site supervisors to address programmatic concerns.
- Discuss effective mechanisms for working with parents.
- Maintain up-to-date records.
- Provide training workshops on selected topics as needed.
- Travel extensively, more than 50% of the time.
- Spanish-English bilingual ability.

OWC secured coverage on FOX 11 for Saban Community Clinic's new Temple Family Health Center, located in Los Angeles' Echo Park neighborhood. The new health center, located at 2121 W. Temple St. on the Children's Institute's Otis Booth Campus, is Saban Community Clinic's first healthcare location serving the Echo Park community and its seventh health center in Los Angeles. The co-location partnership with Children's Institute puts Saban's healthcare services within a campus that serves thousands of children and families each year through programs including early childhood education, adult and child therapy, parenting support and care coordination, offering a closer look at a unique approach that will expand access to a full spectrum of family services. Local human service nonprofits are seeing demand for services rise as state and federal budget cuts strain already limited resources. Through its partnership with Children's Institute, Saban is making it easier for families to get the care they need. At a time when its communities are feeling the impact of funding cuts and rising costs, partnerships like these help keep essential services within reach and trusted organizations there for the people who rely on them. The Temple Family Health Center will initially focus on care for children, with comprehensive family healthcare services coming soon.
