Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Three to five years of experience in manufacturing, operations, staffing, workforce management, or related leadership roles is required.
  • Strong understanding of workforce planning, employee engagement, recruiting, and onboarding processes is required.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and performance management is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, human resources information systems and applicant tracking systems, enterprise resource planning systems, and production reporting tools is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required.
  • The ability to work on the manufacturing floor for extended periods is required.
  • The ability to frequently stand, walk, and move throughout production areas is required.
  • The ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds is required.
  • The ability to work flexible hours and support business needs outside regular shift schedules when required is required.
Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee daily second-shift production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including productivity, attendance, quality performance, downtime, turnover, and headcount attainment.
  • Ensure shift objectives are achieved while maintaining operational continuity across shifts.
  • Manage employee attendance, retention, engagement, and performance initiatives.
  • Coordinate orientation and training tracking for new hires and existing employees.
  • Support employee relations through coaching, counseling, investigations, and corrective action processes.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, labor regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with original equipment manufacturer quality standards, customer requirements, and internal quality management systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workforce performance, employee engagement, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and organizational procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing Certification.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or other quality management systems.
  • Experience with high-volume production operations.
  • Project management experience or certification.
  • Experience managing contingent workforce programs or staffing operations.
